- Creation of schedules for the family and any other staff
- Overseeing and directing outside contractors, maintenance workers, or landscapers
- Travel planning and packing
- Light cleaning and household chores
- Care of clothing, silver service, and china
- Answering the telephone and door, and receiving delivered packages
- Assistance with social planning, wine selection, and event service
- Purchasing wine and spirits, and maintaining upkeep of the liquor cabinet inventory
- Table setting and meal service in both formal and casual settings
- Upkeep of valuables, antiques, and artwork
- Running errands and doing necessary shopping for the family
